On the Use of Artificial Intelligence

ON THE USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

In line with international principles of publication ethics and transparency concerning the increasing use of artificial intelligence tools in academic research and publishing processes, our journal adopts the following policy:

1.  Authorship and Responsibility

Under no circumstances may artificial intelligence tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Google Gemini, etc.) be listed as authors of an academic work. Full scientific, intellectual, methodological, and ethical responsibility for a study rests entirely with the human author(s).

2.  Scope and Limitations of Artificial Intelligence Use

Artificial intelligence tools may be used in a manuscript solely for translation and for language editing, including grammar and stylistic revision. However, all aspects such as analysis, interpretation, critical examination, and academic evaluation must be carried out exclusively by the author(s).

Manuscripts produced wholly or predominantly through the use of artificial intelligence tools, without substantive human contribution beyond the aforementioned purposes, will not be considered for review.

3.  Mandatory Disclosure

Authors are required to explicitly declare whether artificial intelligence tools were used in the preparation of the manuscript. This declaration must be provided by the author(s) during the submission process in the journal’s system.

4.  Ethical Responsibility

Any ethical violations arising from the use of artificial intelligence—including, but not limited to, fabricated data, fictitious or erroneous references, plagiarism, or the dissemination of inaccurate information—are the sole responsibility of the author(s). The journal assumes no liability in such cases.

5.  Peer Review Process

Reviewers must refrain from using artificial intelligence tools during the evaluation process. Uploading or sharing any part or the entirety of a manuscript with AI systems, in a manner that may compromise the confidentiality of the submission, is strictly prohibited.

In addition to the policies stated above, if the use of artificial intelligence is detected during the preliminary evaluation of submissions, manuscripts will be rejected outright.
